My experience had been quiet about the difficulty, I talked with my friend who moved from FAU the past year to Beauchef to study engineering and no long time ago she told me about their english class, and she made the comparison between the english at FAU and the english at Beauchef and she thinks that english now is better for her, it is even assumed that before she left FAU, she made the four levels and when started engineering they evaluated her and she was scored in the second level of five levels.
The main difference according to what she told me is the technical vocabulary they teach and probably the distribution of the hours in the week, I mean the constantly is a relevant point to me and being difficult to found situations to practice, the best way to make it is distributing the english hours in the week.
Respect to blogs , I like it and I find according to the process of learning, but the only thing that I would improve is to receive feedback from the teacher because when I write like now I'm not really conscience about grammar mistakes, but if I would receive the corrections, probably I would learn more and would have less mistakes.
And in my normal days I'm not using english, just the wednesdays hahaha, I hated english at school, so I never really worked so much to learn it. But just the past year I realized the importance of speak english, but still I prefer the spanish and french languages.
I guess better late than never applies to you. There are so many interesting sources of knowledge in different languages that make worth learning them
